Main Dish | Lemon Garlic Baked Salmon

Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano (or any preferred herbs)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon the lemon garlic mixture over each salmon fillet, making sure to coat them evenly.
- If desired, place a few lemon slices on top of each fillet for extra flavor and presentation.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once done, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a minute or two.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.
